Entries
Where can I register for the race?
Online entries only: at entryninja.com through the secure electronic payment system on the registration platform using your credit or debit card. There will be limited late entries at registration.
How much does it cost to enter?
21km – R196 per athlete and on day entries R250.
R80 per athlete for all with an age of 70 and older
8km – Online entries are R80 per athlete and on day entries R100.
Can I enter by Fax or Email and deposit the Entry Free into a Bank Account?
No – only online entries are accepted and payment via Mastercard, Visa cards. There are no late entries possible.
I did not complete my Online Registration, and when I try again it says I have already entered? What do I do?
You will receive an email to complete your entry – follow the steps to finalize your entry.
When do entries close?
Entries for T-shirts close on 30th of September 2023
Can I do a substitution?
There are no Substitutions for this race
Race Day
Are there any Race Cut-offs?
Finish line / 21km: 3 hours (9:15)
What happens if it rains?
The race will continue in adverse weather conditions unless the safety officer deems it unsafe to continue. There are no refunds whatsoever.
How will the Race timing work?
Race Timing is done using FINISH TIME. Your race number will have a disposable CHIP at the back of the number.
Can I park anywhere?
Parking will be provided at the venue. Please note that parking is at your own risk. The organising committee may not be held responsible for theft or damage to any vehicle and its contents.
What time should I be at the start by?
We recommend getting there as early as possible. Runners must be ready and, in the start, pens at least 15 minutes before their designated race start time.
What happens if I am late for the start?
The start line will be closed 15 minutes after the Gun is fired.
Start times are:
21km – 06:15
8km – 06:00
Will there be toilets at the start, on route and at the finish?
Toilets will be available at the start, but no toilets on the route.
Will there be hydration stations?
Yes, approximately every 3 kilometres.
Can my family and friends come watch?
Yes, they are welcome to come and watch you run. Spectators will also be able to track the race live on Facebook and YouTube.
Does my Entrance Fee include a Race T-Shirt?
No – for sale – ONLINE ONLY Before 30 September 2023

Will I get a medal?
21km – Only race finishers within the CUT-OFF time will receive a medal.
8km – Medals to the first 1,000 finishers
Race Pack
Where can I collect my race pack?
There will be three collection points and each athlete MUST select a collection point or choose that their race pack be posted using the couriers provided.
- Wednesday 25th October 2023 – Pretoria from 12h00 to 17h00 (Run-a-Way Sport, Lynwood Ridge)
- Friday 27th October 2023 – Hartbeespoort Marathon clubhouse from 12h00 to 20h00.
- Saturday 28th October – Hartbeespoort Marathon clubhouse from 04h00 to 05h50.
Uncollected packs will be forfeited and will not be available at Hartbeespoort.
What must I bring with me to collect my race pack?
- ID, Driver’s License or Passport
- Confirmation of registration SMS
Can someone collect my race pack on my behalf if I am not able to?
Yes, simply bring their SMS with race number and a letter confirming that you may collect it

What if I miss the prescribed race pack collection times and don't manage to fetch my race pack, can I collect the race pack on race day?
Uncollected packs will be available at Hartbeespoort
